One name, three spellings

STS Trading, STS and Statistical Trading Systems are the same product from the same company. STS Trading is the name on the site and in the terminal. Statistical Trading Systems is the long form and the web address. If you arrived here asking what STS means in trading, the letters are also used for other things, including systematic trading strategies in general. This page is about the terminal.

What it does

  • Scans every market it covers on every timeframe, with these strategies: TrendSniper, Dipper, Squeeze, Rider, IDS, Engulfing, ThreeBar, Donchian, VWAP Reversion, SuperTrend.
  • Shows each setup with its entry, its stop, four targets and the backtested trades behind it: how often it reached each target, what it made per trade, and how many trades that rests on.
  • Shows the same record after trading costs, because a setup that looks profitable before the spread can lose once the spread is paid.
  • Sends alerts, and places the trade on your own account when you choose to, sized from the risk you set.
  • Lets you build a book of setups with a position limit and a daily loss cap, and run it as a dry run first.

What it is not

  • STS Trading is software. It is not a broker, not a prop firm, not a fund and not an adviser.
  • It never holds your money and cannot withdraw. Your account stays at your broker, in your name.
  • It does not promise a result. A backtest describes how a rule behaved over past data and says nothing certain about the next trade.
  • It does not give personal financial advice. Every figure is an observation about a rule, not a recommendation to you.

Why the numbers are the product

Most trading decisions rest on a feeling about a chart. The terminal exists to replace that with a record: this rule, on this market, on this timeframe, has done this many trades and this is how they went. That only works if the record can be trusted, so every figure on a screen comes from one run of one generator, carries the date its data runs to, and is computed by one piece of code. Where we cannot show which run a number came from, we print nothing.

It also means publishing results that do not flatter us. The research pages show records before and after costs, across every market and not only the ones that did well.

Plans

There is a free plan, and paid plans from $99 a month. Every plan is the same terminal. The current prices are on the home page.
